Position: Server

Overview and job mission

The server maintains and organizes the dining room, provides guest detailed descriptions of the menu and takes guests food and beverage orders. The candidate should be able to anticipate guests’ needs and address them accordingly in order to provide guests with a delightful experience.

The server will report directly to the restaurant management

Minimum of 2 year experience in a similar role, able to perform duties and responsibilities of:

Playing by the Rules

  • Complete daily cleaning schedule.
  • Responsible for the working area to be cleaned and sanitized and the floor without debris

Delighting our Guests

  • Making specialty coffees, teas and any hot or cold beverages for the guests
  • Familiar use of espresso machine and drip coffee machines
  • Responsible for the morning coffee set up
  • Responsible for the in house bottling water program
  • Knowledge of wine program, liquors and cocktails
  • Responsible to clear dishes, bread basket, flatware and glasses from the table
  • Responsible to clean and reset the table to welcome guest seating
  • Responsible to brush the chairs after setting up the table
  • Maintain the floor clean in the restaurant and bar
  • Responsible taking guest orders and entering into IG
  • Responsible for maintaining pace of service
  • Knowledgeable of food and beverage and be able to upsell
  • Responsible for presetting accurate bill to guess.
  • Set up condiments necessary before each service
  • Receive arranged trays or plates from Chef de cuisine or kitchen team members and carry them to designated places in the restaurant or bar, following a specific seat number order.
  • Making sure the rim of all plates or trays are wiped and cleaned before being carried in the restaurant or bar
  • Responsible for all to go food set up, so it travels safe in the right container
  • Able to describe all food preparations and recipes to all guests

Working Together as Colleagues

  • Accomplish side work duties assigned to your job description
  • Able to assess inventory in order to place proper order for next day delivery
  • Responsible for the all the linen pick up, storage, supply and drop off for laundry pick up
  • Responsible to set the dining room for the next service
  • Responsible to polish specific glasses for daily use and station back up
  • Responsible to polish all flatware for daily use and station back up
  • Responsible to polish all share plates for daily use and station back up
  • Responsible to maintain service stations stocked before and after service
  • Responsible to coffee station cleanliness and proper stocking levels
